in mathematics, numbers are divided in two groups.

◻ ODD

◼ EVEN

odd numbers are those numbers which cannot be divided by 2. means can't be evenly divided in two groups. the unit digit (end digit) of odd number will be one of these numbers.. 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9.

even numbers are those numbers which can be exactly divided by 2. means they can be evenly divided in two groups. unit digit or end digit of even numbers will be one of these numbers.. 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8.

examples of odd numbers - 1, 19, 51 etc.

examples of even numbers - 8, 20, 72 etc.

one more important thing, odd numbers can also be divided by 2 but the answer will come in the form of decimal. they can't be exactly divided. always remember that numbers end with 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 are odd numbers.
