according to section 2(a) of Indian Contract Act 1872 defines an offer as "when one person signifies to another his willingness to do or to abstain from doing anything with a view to obtaining the ascent of that other two such hacked or assistance he is said to make a proposal ."
the following are the features of a valid offer :
1. a proposal should be voluntary .
2. proposal should be communicated and brought to knowledge .
3. a proposal should be made with the willingness of the proposer.
4. offer must be made with a view to obtain the ascent.
5. a proposal should be definite not certain.
6. invitation to offer is not a valid offer or proposal.
7.proposal may be specific or general .
