Definition of One Volt:
- When a certain amount of energy in joules is consumed per unit of electric charge of coulomb and that certain amount of energy is 1 joule then the resultant which we get is 1 volt.
- We can also say that when a certain conductor is considered and has a resistance of 1 ohm and in that the conductor current of 1 ampere flows then the voltage across that conductor would be 1 volt.
- It is the unit of measuring potential difference (Volt).
