my dear friend here your answer :
Organic compounds – compounds derived from living organisms which essentially contains carbon are called organic compounds.
Types of organic compounds-
Alicyclic – straight chain or branched chain organic compounds. Example: Butane, 2-methyl propane etc.
Cyclic organic compounds – organic compounds with ring structures. Example: cyclo hexane, cyclo pentane etc.
characters :
ORGANIC COMPOUND USUALY POSSES COVALENT COMPOUND PROPERTY.IT MEANS THEIR BOILING POINT IS LOW.THEY DO NOT CONDUCT ELECTRICITY.DUE TO HTE PROPERTY OF CATENATION POSSES BY CARBON ORGANIC COMPOUNS ARE FOUND LARGE IN NUMBER AND ALSO WITHOUT THESE COMPOUNDS EARTH IS QUIT DIFFICULT TO LIVE.SO ORGANOIC PLAY AN IMPORATANT ROLE IN OUR LIFE.WE ARE SORRPUNDED BY ORGANIC COMPOUND.
HOPE IT HELPS

Organic Compound:
Organic compound, any of a large class of chemical compounds in which one or more atoms of carbon are covalently linked to atoms of other elements, most commonly hydrogen, oxygen, or nitrogen. The few carbon-containing compounds not classified as organic include carbides, carbonates, and cyanides.
