Some times shop keeper has to

spend on additional expenses like

transportation , maintenance , labour,

repair , commission , rent of godown

etc ., in addition to the price paid to

buy an article . Such additional

expenses are called " overhead

expenses " and are to be added to

the Cost price .

Profit and Loss is always calculated

on this resultant price .
