According to patriarchal theory of the state is the extension and development of the family.In the patriarchal theory of the state the head of the family was father and men are in authority over women and are considered superior.

1.The eldest male parent in the family was the controlling authority.
2. The lives of the family members and the property of the family had been under the control of the eldest male parent.
