Bridge elements are elements of second period while typical elements are elements of third period. Elements of second period relate in terms of properties with elements of third period but of the next group. Like-
Li with Mg , Be with Al, B with Si and so on.
The major difference is just in naming. They are similar in some properties, just that the second period ones are called Bridge elements and the third period ones are called Typical elements. They exhibit similar properties due to electronegativity and polarization of ions. On moving diagonally, they cancel each other.
Other properties vary as normal explanations for period 2 and period 3 elements....

The periodic properties of elements which occurs at regular intervals or in which there is a constant variation is known as periodicity .
Eg : electronegativity , electron affinity , ionisation enthalpy , etc .
Typical elements are also known as bridge elements . These are the elements in the 2nd group which shows resemblance in properties with the 3 group elements due to very less electronegative difference .
Eg : Be -Al and li - mg
