Hey !!
The branch of physics that deals, with the measurement of heat is called calorimetry. The principle of calorimetry states that the hear gained by the cold body must be equal to the heat lost by hot body, provided there is no exchange of heat with the surrounding.
Hear gained = Heat Lost
The principle is a consequence of the law of conservation of energy.
GOOD LUCK !!
