\bf\underline{Definition :-} The words which are used at the place of noun are known as Pronoun.



\bf\underline{Types \:of \:Pronoun :-}

Pronouns are of eight types. They are given below :-


1. \bf {Personal \:Pronoun :-} This pronoun is used to replace the name of a person included 1st, 2nd and 3rd person.

▪He, she, we, you, I, they.


2. \bf {Demonstrative \:Pronoun :-} It is used to show something specific about noun.

▪This, that, these and those.


3. \bf {Interrogative \:Pronoun :-} This pronoun is used to make questions.

▪Which, whose, whom, who, what


4. \bf {Indefinite \:Pronoun :-} This refers to non - specific (not sure) person or thing.

▪Anyone, anything, each, everything, few, many, nobody, none, several, somebody, someone.


5. \bf {Possessive \:Pronoun :-} It states ownership.

▪Mine, yours, his, hers, our, theirs, my, its.


6. \bf {Reciprocal \:Pronoun :-} It is used to show an action where mutual reflexes are involved.

▪Each other and one another.


7. \bf {Relative \:Pronoun :-}It relates to noun. It means that the relative pronoun tells something extra about the noun.

▪That, which, who, whom, whose.


8. \bf {Reflexive \:Pronoun :-} Both doer and receiver is noun in this pronoun.
