The distance between the center of curvature and pole of a spherical mirror is called radius of curvature. Focal length is half of the radius of curvature. So f = 24/2 = + 12 cm It is a convex mirror.

Hey there!

♣ What is radius of Curvature?

= The radius of sphere of which mirror is a part is called radius or curvature.

                                                OR

= The distance from center of curvature to the pole of the mirror is called radius of curvature.

What is focal length of a spherical mirror?

= The distance between focus and the pole is called focal length.

Relation between Focal length and Radius of Curvature:

= Radius of curvature = 2 * Focal Length

or , R = 2 * f

or, f = R/2

How to find focal length of spherical mirrors?

= \boxed{\displaystyle \dfrac{1}{f}= \dfrac{1}{v}+\dfrac{1}{u}}

where,

f = Focal Length

u = Distance of object

v = Distance of image

Hope It helps You!
