is related to the amplitude of sound waves (or pressure amplitude/ displacement relative to atmospheric pressure, typically), whereas intensity is the rate at which power (rate of energy transfer, or work per unit time) is transferred across a given area (Power/Area, or rate of energy transfer per unit area.

Answer:
The intensity of sound at a point is the time rate of flow of sound energy passing normally through a unit area at that point. Its unit is the joule per second square metre (J/s.m²) = watt per square metre (W/m²).
Intensity and loudness are related, but not the same. Intensity is a measurable quantity whereas loudness is a sensation which is not measurable. Loudness depends on the intensity of sound as well as the sensitivity of the ear of the listener
