revenue is the amount of money that accompany actually receives during a specific period including discount and deduction for return this it is the top Line Gross income figure from which cost are subtracted to determine net income.



For example= assume grocery store xyz sold rupees 100,000 worth of food for the year . it would record thais sales as received on the very top of his income statement.
