in a quadrilateral two sides are parallel to each other.
AS IN THE ATTACHMENT
If AB // CD and AC is their transversal then
<A + <B = 180 ( int. same . side .on transversal )
70 + <B = 180
<B = 180-70
<B = 110
but <A = <D ( opp . angles are equal in a quadrilateral if 2 sides are parallel )
=) <D = 70
=) <C = 110
