Define scalar quantity and vector quantity with all examples

Scalar quantity doesn't depends on direction.
Example-Pressure (when we apply pressure it equally gets distributed in all the directions.

Vector Quantity depends on direction.
Example-Force(we can't figure out the force without knowing it's direction

Scalar quantity- These are quantities which have only magnitude. This means that these quantities require only the numerical values. They do not depend on the direction of body's motion. Ex- Distance, Speed, Work,Energy, Power etc.

Vector quantity- These are quantities which have both magnitude and direction. This means that they have two components in them, the magnitude and the direction of the body's motion. Ex- Displacement, Velocity, Acceleration, Force etc.
