Scattering of light is also called Tyndall effect..In this , when a beam of light passes through a collodial solution...It break down into all directions

Gases and particles in Earth's atmosphere scatter sunlight in all directions. Blue light is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time.

sky appears blue because of scattering of sun light into its components.violetand blue shade colours we know have less wavelength but more frequency and thus have smaller molecules which gets scattered in sky and it appears blue to our eyes
