Sessile :-
- Sessility is the biological property of an organism describing its lack of a means of self-locomotion.
- Sessile organisms can move via external forces (such as water currents), but are usually permanently attached to something.
- Organisms such as corals lay down their own substrate from which they grow.
Primary root :-
- The primary root is an organ which forms at the root pole of the plant embryo.
- The root and shoot that develop directly from a plant embryo are considered to be 'primary'.
- Thus, in a young seedling, the primary root is that which continues the growth of the embryonic radicle.
Perennation :-
- Perennation is the ability of organisms, particularly plants, to survive from one germinating season to another, especially under unfavourable conditions such as drought or winter.
Pollination :-
- Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma.
- The goal of every living organism, including plants, is to create offspring for the next generation.
- One of the ways that plants can produce offspring is by making seeds.
