example:- life is look like a box of chocolates

Simile :-  In a simile a comparison is made between two dissimilar obejects or things having at least one point in common. It is generally indicated by such words as ‘like’, ‘as’, ‘such as’, ‘just as’.

Look at the exapmples

(i)     She is lovely like a rose.

(ii)    The soul was like a star, and dwelt apart.

(iii)      Amar Singh Rathor was brave as a loin.

(iv)     As shines the moon in clouded skies, she in her poor attire was seen.

(v)     I wandered lonely as a cloud,  

    That floats on high ov’r vales and hills.

(vi)     He is as firm as a rock.

(vii)       Errors, like straws, upon the surface flow.
