single citizenship is a citizenship where a person can only take citizenship of one nation
whereas
dual citizenship is a citizenship where a person takes the citizenship of 2 nation

Single Citizenship means that you can cast vote only one time from any particular State in a country. He/She is only a citizen of that country and cannot be citizen of another country.

Citizenship is recorded by Ministry Of Home in India and is registered by National Register of Citizens (NRC)
