Skeletal chemical equations are those equations which are not balanced equally both the side...!!!

Mg + O2 → MgO

L.H.S
Mg = 1
O = 2

R.H.S
Mg = 1
O = 1

On balancing it...we get...
2MgO2 → 2MgO

therefore...the equation is not balanced equally...so...it is a skeletal chemical equation..!!!

Manik04: Thank u
Manik04: Then how u'll balance it?
Manik04: can u tell that too
Akash8840: yes...sure ..lemme edit it

hey, here is your answer

Skeletal equation => the number of atom of each elements on both side of equation is not equal is called skeletal equation ..

Mg + O2 -> MgO

in this reaction atoms are not equal on both side
in left side oxygen have 2 atom but in right side oxygen have only one atom
so, equation is skeletal ..
