Definition : The resistivity (or specific resistance) of a material is the resistance of a conductor (of the material) of unit length and unit area of cross section.
Numerically, the resistivity of a material is the resistance offered by a cube of the material with sides of unit length when a current flows through its opposite faces.
we have, ρ=RA/l
∴ SI unit of ρ=ohm.metre 2/metre=ohm.metre
I hope help you.

specific resistance :
- The resistance of a material having unit length and unit cross - sectional area is known as its "specific resistance" or resistivity.
SI unit of resistivity is ohm-meter .
thank you
