DEFINITIONS

1. POINT : A point is a mark of position. It has no length, breadth or height. Unlimited points can be mark on a plane. A point can be denoted by a single capital letter like A, B, C.....

2. LINE SEGMENT : A line segment is a portion of a line whose end points are fixed.

☞This is the sign of " Line Segment "

3. LINE : A line is straight and extends indefinitely in both the directions. It may contain an unlimited number of points.

4. RAY : The part of a line with extends indefinitely in one direction from a fixed point. Say P, on the line is called a ray. Here P is called the starting point
( or the initial point ) of the ray.

Line Segment :- A line segment has a definite Length and has 2 end points.

Ray :- A Ray doesn't have a definite Length, but it have one point.
