a) Gullies : A gully is arelatively deep vertical walled channel , recently formed within a valley where no wall - defined channel previously existed .
b) Countour ploughing : This is the farming practice of ploughing across the slope of hills following its elevation countour lines .
c) Sheet erosion : Water flowing down over a large area causes the top soil to be wased away .This is called sheet erosion .
