→ The Khilafatists were Muslims who were unhappy due to the capture and division of the Ottoman Empire.
→ The ruler of the Ottoman Empire was the caliph who was looked upon by many Muslims as their head .
→ The Khilafatists wanted that minimum territories of the Islamic lands like the Arab , Syria should be under the Muslim rule.
→ They also demanded that the empire should be returned to the caliph.
