Answer:

(a). Map :- A map is a symbolic depiction emphasizing relationships between elements of some space, such as objects, regions, or themes. Many maps are static, fixed to paper or some other durable medium, while others are dynamic or interactive.

(b). Scale :- The scale of a map is the ratio of a distance on the map to the corresponding distance on the ground. This simple concept is complicated by the curvature of the Earth's surface, which forces scale to vary across a map. Because of this variation, the concept of scale becomes meaningful in two distinct ways.

(c). Physical Map :- A map of the locations of identifiable landmarks on chromosomes. Physical distance between landmarks is measured in base pairs. The physical map differs from the genetic map, which is based purely on genetic linkage data.

(d). Plan :- A plan is the graphical representation, to some scale, of features on, rear or below the surface of the earth as projected on horizontal plane. If the scale of the graphical representation on a horizontal plane is small, the plan is called a map. A plan is drawn on a large scale.
