1.a fossil bipedal primate with both ape-like and human characteristics, found in Pliocene and Lower Pleistocene deposits ( c. 4 million to 1 million years old) in Africa.

2.primate of a family ( Hominidae ) which includes humans and their fossil ancestors and also (in recent schemes) at least some of the great apes.

3.a gay man.
