ans. The phenomenon of the change of seasons is called due to two reasons:
- {i} The revolution of the earth around the sun.
- {ii} The onclination of the earth's axis angle of 66 (1 by 2) to the plane of its orbit.
The phenomenon of changing seasons can be understood with the help of four positions of the earth during revolution arond the sun.
3. Imagine what would happen if the earth’s axis was really perpendicular to the plane of the earth’s orbit. Support your answer with suitable points.
ans. First of all, we would have no seasons. The hours of day and night would be the same everyday all over the world. The sun would rise due east and west everyday.
