Hi,

the uterine wall in female prepares itself to receive the developing fertilised eggs.in case there is no fertilization,the thickened lining of the uterus wall breaks down and goes out of the body along with the blood.this is called menstruation.

the ova begin to mature with the onset of adolescence. one ovum matures and is released by one of the ovaries once in about 28to 30 days .these is called menstrual cycle.

The cycle of events taking place in female reproductive organs, i.e. in ovaries and uterus, under the control of sex hormones, in every 28 days and marked by bleeding or menstrual flow, is called Menstrual cycle.
Females show monthly reproductive cycle called menstrual cycle.
