Affect is a response from or on human beings as a result of a particular or multiple stimuli. Affect is a concept of psychology too. Psychology and social sciences are interlinked. Activation of the sympathetic nervous system takes place in affect, the result of which may be positive or negative on a human.

All the moods or emotions given in a specific situation are called affective responses. Examples of affective responses are euphoria, anger and sadness.
