In this process a vessel is taken called electrolytic tank in which electrolysis occur . Two metallic rods are suspended in the solution taken in the vessel called electrolyte and connected to the terminal of battery with the help of a metallic wire and allow the causes of current. the electrode connected to positive terminal is called anode and to negative terminal is called cathode. when electrolyte dissolve in H2O It Breaks into its ions and a electric current ions are attracted towards the oppositely charged electrodes.

HOPE IT MAY HELP YOU.

The electrolysis is a process in which electrons from positive impure cathode travels through electrolyte and sticks to negative pure anode. This can be used to seperate many ionic compounds
