1⃣ A random error can also occur due to the measuring instrument and the way it is affected by changes in the surroundings.

2⃣ Random errors can be evaluated through statistical analysis and can be reduced by averaging over a large number of observations. The cloth tape measure that you use to measure the length of an object had been stretched out from years of use. (As a result, all of your length measurements were too small.)

The statistical fluctuation in the measured data due to the limitation of measuring device, is called Random error. For example You can measure the mass of pen two times using same balance but result is different I. e 5.5,5.8, etc..


It must be minimized. and it is reduced by averaging over a large number of observation..
