A Comet is an Icy small body revolving around the sun. When it passes closer to the sun, it heats up and displays a visible atmosphere and sometimes also a tail. A comet tail is illuminated by the sun.

There are two types of comets- periodical and none periodical. periodical comets can be seen after fixed intervals whereas non periodical comets may be seen only once.
