Inertia is also defined as the tendency of objects to keep moving in a straight line at a constant velocity.
There are basically three types of Inertia-:
(a) Inertia of Rest: The inability of a body to change by itself its state of rest is known as Inertia of Rest.
(b) Inertia of Motion: The Inability of a body to change by itself its state of uniform motion is known as Inertia of motion.

Here is the answer to your question!!
Inertia is the property of the body by virtue of which it opposes any change in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line.
Mass is a measure of Inertia.
Larger the mass, greater is the inertia.
Inertia of rest :
Due to this inertia, the body at rest tends to remain at rest.
Types of Inertia :
Inertia of Motion :
Due to this inertia, a body in uniform motion tends to continue it's motion
Hope it helped!!
