They are the Native American Citizens of the place which was later named USA after it has been occupied and immigrated by the people from all over the world..most of them have come form Europe though..the name Indian has been originated because Columbus who was in search of India reached this place he thought that this place is India and saw the people coloured red skin and not exactly brown coloured Indians so he named them Red Indians so that’s how these Red Indians are known to this world.
Well this term is not in extensive use.
