A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances.

Types of solution are as follows :-
1. Aqueous solution is a solution produced by dissolving a substance in water is known as aqueous solution of the substance.

2. Non-aqueous solution there are some substances solutions by dissolving in liquid other than water such as alcohol, Acetone, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulphide are known as non -aqurois solution.

3. True solution :-
If the mixture of the substance in a solution is truly homogeneous the particles cannot be distinguished from one another such type of solution are known as true solution examples of solution of salt.

4. Saturated solution :-
In a solution no more solute can be dissolved in it at a given temperature in a solution is called saturated solution.

5. supersaturated solution it is possible to prepare a solution with an amount of solute higher than that require supersaturated solutions are very unstable the solution at a given temperature can be made by slowly cooling a saturated solution prepared at a given temperature.
