the source plants are taken and are kept in artificial environment in which it can survive and grow. The cells grow and multiply in this environment and after the hardening process the plants get ready to be planted.
Tissue is that mass which is formed by the accumulation of cells that are of similiar kind and performs same kind of function.

• It is the technique in which cells or tissues are grown artificially in a laboratory.
• Agar is the medium where such artificial cells or tissues are cultured.
• This technique has many benefits. Such as: the plants that are formed by this technique remain free from diseases.
• Also, very less time is required to obtain plantlets from this technique.
