Explanation:

A group of cells having same origin, same structure and same function is called tissue.

Ex vivo growth of cells or tissues in an aseptic and nutrient-rich medium is called tissue culture. In this technique, tissues from

the source plants are taken and are kept in artificial environment in which it can survive and grow. The cells grow and multiply in this environment and after the hardening process the plants get ready to be planted.

Tissue is that mass which is formed by the accumulation of cells that are of similiar kind and performs same kind of function.

1. The similar kind of cells which has same function comes together and gets accumulated to form a mass known as tissues.

2. There are many types of tissues in our body. Some of them includes:

• Muscle tissues such as cardiac muscle tissue, skeletal muscle tissue, etc.

• Connective tissues like blood, bone, etc.

• Nervous tissue like neurons.

3. The similar type of tissues than aggregate to form another structure which is called organ.

Tissue Culture:

• It is the technique in which cells or tissues are grown artificially in a laboratory.

Agar is the medium where such artificial cells or tissues are cultured.

This technique has many benefits. Such as: the plants that are formed by this technique remain free from diseases.

• Also, very less time is required to obtain plantlets from this technique.
