Number of protons of element is atomic number of that element.
For Example: Oxygen has 8 protons, so atomic number of Oxygen is 8.
Mass Number:-
Total number of electrons and protons of element is the mass number of element.
For Example: Oxygen has 8 protons and 8 electrons, so mass number of Oxygen is (8+8) 16 .
