Problems of Half Educated Indian Youth
With forty one percent population below the age of twenty Indian census data show youth serge. However, the census date also reveals that only 4.5 percent of the population is educated to graduate or above level. Though the decade from 2001 - 2011 saw a rise in higher education, there are many other factors responsible for the rising number of half educated youth.
The state of over population has already resulted in the problem of educated youth, the problem of half educated Indians worsens when it comes to job opportunities. Due to automation, this group of youth is almost rendered unproductive. They are unable to cope up with the situation and show personality disorders. As a result, they take to means unfair for sustenance of their life. Many of them try to settle abroad and settle there as unskilled workers. The life there is not easy for them as they become victims of discrimination which breeds frustration.
Where does the solution lie? We are the land of great souls like Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurbindo and Mahatma Gandhi. We do take pride in the values and message permeated into the then society by their nobility. Have we become so insensitive towards our own self and towards our motherland that we choose to live a life of a non-entity? To revive the values we need to work on the war-footing. Giving purpose and direction to them becomes the moral obligation of the older generation, the government as well as the kin, to support them and help them whenever they need it.
Above all it should be borne is mind that they are the future leaders of our country and by no means we should allow them to go astray, for the interest of the nation takes priority over individual's personal interests.
