pollination-the transfer of pollen grains from anther of a stamen to the stigma of a carpel is callled pollination.It is of 2 types-
self pollination
cross pollination

fertilisation-the fusion pf male gamete with female gamete to form zygote is known as fertilisation.It is of 2 types-
internal fertilisation
external fertilisation

  • Fusion of pollen nucleus and ovule in the ovary.

  • It is a chemical process in which a new structure called zygote is formed.

  • Its types are internal and external fertilisation.

  • Fertilization takes place after pollination.

  • It is an internal mechanism.
