Hope everything is fine. I am writing this letter for telling you the significance of Govardhan pooja
Diwali is just round the corner and the festive fervor has reached its zenith. Diwali is also accompanied with several other festivals which makes those four five days a festive extravaganza totally worth all the effort. This year Diwali would be celebrated on 19th of October, followed by Govardhan Pooja on 20th October, followed by Bhai Dooj on 21st October. Govardhan Puja is a Hindu festival that is celebrated a day after Diwali. It is also referred to as the Annakoot Puja by the devotees. Devotees prepare lavish food preparations consisting of 56 items called Annakoot to please Krishna. The Puja is dedicated to the day when Lord Krishna (eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu) came to the aid of his fellow villagers by lifting a mountain on his little finger! Intrigued?
