According to this theory The crust of the earth has been formed out of 7 major and some minor plates. the movement of the plates result in the building of stresses within the plates and the continental rocks leading to folding faulting and volcanic activities. The conventional current split the crust into a number of Pieces leading to drifting of the Indo Australian plate. the north ward drift resulted in collision of plates within the much larger Eurasian plate due to this collision , sedimentary rock accumulated in Tethys were folded and from Himalaya
