Ultra Violet rays are harmful because when the skin is exposed it causes burns or tans damages skin cells that can accelerate skin ageing, and even increase the risk of developing skin cancer.
There are two kinds of UV light: Ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB). UVA speeds skin ageing and boosts skin cancer risk and UVB causes sunburn.

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is a form of non-ionizing radiation that is emitted by the sun and artificial sources, such as tanning beds. While it has some benefits for people, including the creation of Vitamin D, it also can cause health risks.
