1
silicon(Si) Atomic number:14
electronic configuration: 2,8,4
so valancy of Si is 4,because it need 4 electrons to complete it's octate.
Oxygen(8)
electronic configuration: 2,6
valancy:2 ,I.e. 2 electrons required to complete it's octate

Adizya: what is valancy not written
hukam0685: i had written
hukam0685: the combining power of an element, especially as measured by the number of hydrogen atoms it can displace or combine with
hukam0685: is valency
