Water cycle is a cycle in which water converts from water to gas and back to water endlessly. The first step in water cycle is Evaporation. Evaporation is the process in which water gets heated and forms gaseous state. This gaseous state is known as water vapour. This vapour rises and cools down in the colder layers of the atmosphere. This is called Condensation. When vapour gets cooled, it forms water again. If it gets overly cooled, it forms a solid like snow, sleet, hailstones, etc. Once all the vapour gets cooled, the water starts to fall as rain. This is known as Precipitation.
