☆ The Westerlies are the belt of prevailing wind from the west in medium latitudes in the southern hemisphere.

☆ The trade winds are the prevailing pattern of easterly surface winds found in the tropics (Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn) in the lower section of the troposphere near the Earth's equator.

Westerlies...
Above the subtropical highs in the Northern Hemisphere, and below the subtropical highs in the Southern Hemisphere, winds blow from the west towards the east. These winds are thus called westerly winds, after the direction from whence the winds come.

Trade winds
Wind is the flow of air from High Pressure to Low Pressure region.
