Work is done by any object when a force is applied on the object and it moves from one point to another.

Work done = Force × Displacement × cosine of angle between the direction of force & displacement.

W = FS cos theta.

The SI unit of work is Joule.

1 joule of work is done by an object when a 1 Newton of force is applied on it,and it get displaced by 1 metre. (the direction of force and displacement should be same i.e angle should be equal to zero).

Answer:

Explanation: Work, in physics, measure of energy transfer that occurs when an object is moved over a distance by an external force at least part of which is applied in the direction of the displacement.

Work= Force × Displacement

SI unit of work is joule (J)
