        Yoga is the ‘inhibition’ (nirodhaḥ) of modifications (vṛtti) of our mind (‘citta’).

        According to Edwin reciting about yoga to pathanjali “Yoga essentially consists of meditative practices culminating in attaining a state of consciousness free from all the “modes of active or discursive” thought, and as eventually in also attaining the state where the consciousness is very unaware of any of the object which is external to itself, i.e., is only aware of its ‘own nature’ as the consciousness that is unmixed with any of the other object.
