Dispersion of light is basically splitting of white light into the seven constituent colours viz. Violet , Indigo , Blue , Green , Yellow , Orange and Red. Scattering is different from dispersion as it is simply a deflection of a ray of light from its straight path. One natural phenomenon based on each of this can be of the sky which scatters the light and an example of dispersion of light can be seen in the rainbow which is also a natural phenomenon.
