Possessive pronouns :

The pronouns which show that someone owns something are called possessive pronouns. They are used to show possessiveness over anything. They are mainly used at the last of sentences.  

  • Mine , Yours, his , hers , its , ours , theirs are possessive pronouns.  

Example –

→ This house is theirs.

→ This book is hers.  

→ The house with the blue window is ours.  

→ Has anyone got an extra pencil ? I have forgotten to bring mine.  

~Here, the words in the bold are possessive pronouns.
