Answer :-

Basically, a "Cellular Pool" can be defined as the collection of various types of molecules in a cell.

Extra Information :-

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • The cellular pool consists of both organic and inorganic compounds.
  • In the cellular pool, the substances which are derived from plants and animals are termed as the Organic Compounds.
  • In the cellular pool, the substances which do not contain carbon atoms ( Eg - Water and Salts) are termed as Inorganic Compounds.
  • All organic compounds contain carbon. But in some cases, they may also contain Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Sulphuric, Phosphorus, etc.
  • The small compounds found in the cellular pool have low molecular weights, simple molecular configurations and usually high solubilities.
  • Small molecules of the cellular pool include Water, Amino acids, Sugars, Lipids and Nucleotides.
  • Polymerisation of a large number of small molecules gives rise to "Macro-molecules" such as Protiens, Nucleic acids and certain Carbohydrates (Polysaccharides).
