 Let \: a \: and \: b \: are \: two \\adjacent \:sides\: of \: a \: parallelogram

 a : b = 2 : 3 \: (given)

 Let \: a= 2x , \:and \:b = 3x

 Perimeter \:of\: the \: parallelogram = 40\:cm

 \implies 2(a+b) = 40

 \implies 2( 2x + 3x ) = 40

 \implies 2\times 5x = 40

 \implies 10x = 40

/* Divide both sides by 10 , we get */

 \implies x = 4

 Now, a = 2x = 2\times 4 = 10\: cm

 b = 3x = 3\times 4 = 12\: cm

Therefore.,

 \red { Adjacent \:Sides \:of \:the \: parallelogram } \\\green { = 10 \:cm \:and \:12\:cm }
